Items expected to be included on the 2018 MML Legislative Agenda are as follows:

e goal is to make MML members whole, back to 1992 when the diversion was decreased from 20 1⁄2 %

We need all MML members to be engaged in the legislative process to help the League be as successful as possible.
Here is what you can do now:
e session begins the rst Tuesday after New Year’s Day - January 2, 2018 Stay up-to-date on important timeframes and deadlines as we move through the session Key issues will require our members to take action quickly, and sometimes, with little to no advanced notice
Plan to attend the MML Mid-Winter LegislativeConferenceinJackson, January9-11,2018, and participate in“MML Day at the Capitol”
Set up meetings with your legislative delegation or join with other cities in their district and sponsor a lunch meeting
If you passed a resolution in support of the Local Government Debt Collection Act, email a copy or your city or town’s resolution to every member of your legislative delegation
