City of Ridgeland
The City of Ridgeland added a new member to its community of specialized healthcare providers with the opening of Methodist Outpatient Therapy, an orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation therapy center Alongside Methodist Rehabilitation Center, Canizaro Cawthon Davis Architects, and Mid-State Construction, city officials held an official ribbon cutting on July 18, 2017, celebrating the grand opening of the new business which has brought
15 jobs to the area

On December 11, 2017, Lt Governor Tate Reeves, Central District Transportation Commissioner Dick Hall, Flowood Mayor Gary Rhoads, along with other state and local officials, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the Lakeland Drive Expansion Project in Rankin County “ This type of transportation improvement project enhances infrastructure that will provide opportunities for economic development and growth along Highway 25 in Flowood, Rankin County and the State of Mississippi,” Hall said “The project also supports MDOT’s number one priority to maintain roadways that are safe for the traveling public and motorists in this area”
