The final day of the Conference included a General Session Breakfast where Colonel Paul J. McDonald of the Mississippi National Guard gave a report on the status of Army National Guard armories across the state. (Read more about the state’s repurposing of armories on page 32). Following Colonel McDonald’s presentation, MML Executive Director Shari Veazey gave an update on the MML Legislative Agenda for 2018.
To wrap up the conference, a panel discussion titled “What’s Working in your Town” gave Mayors from Holly Springs, Louisville, Richland and Walnut Grove
the opportunity to present some of the successes their towns have experienced and advice on how to replicate similar projects in other municipalities.
