Mississippi Municipal Government Week will be held January 14 - 20, 2018, as a part of the League’s long-term e ort to increase public support for and involvement in municipal government, as well as provide a means to raise awareness of the wide range of services provided by municipalities.
MML has created a “tool kit” available to member municipalities which contains resources that can be used to supplement the week’s activities in each individual city and town across the state. In the tool kit, located on the MML website at www.mmlonline.com/news, o cials can nd a template resolution, talking points for presentations that can be made to various groups, and ideas for activities that can be implemented to involve school-age children in the celebration.
The Mississippi Municipal League is asking each municipality to use the template provided in the online tool kit to pass a resolution declaring the week of
January 14 - 20, 2018, as Municipal Government Week.
A copy of the resolution template can also be obtained by calling the MML o ce at 601-353-5854.
The ads below (and more!) are available to download on the MML website! Use these as yers to handout at town hall meetings, print ads to run in local newspapers, digital content to post on your Facebook account, or any other way that works best for your city!
