MML Conferences

The League sponsors several conferences and work sessions each year which include well-known speakers, an array of workshops on important information and updates, awards and recognition programs, legislative planning and the election of MML officers.

 

2010 Conferences

79th MML Annual Conference

June 27-July 1, 2010, Biloxi
The MML Annual Conference is the largest private association conference held in the state each year over 3,000 attendees during the four day conference.  The conference agenda includes training and education sessions, affiliate group and mayors' association activities, the annual membership business meeting and election of officers, the MML Hall of Fame inductions and the MML Excellence Awards presentation. The Mid-Winter Legislative Conference

January 26-28, 2010, Hilton Jackson  

This conference is held each year in Jackson and gives MML members and others who attend an opportunity to network with members of the state legislature during the session. Activities include the annual "Coffee with Legislators" in the Capitol Rotunda; general sessions featuring high ranking members of the legislature and an appreciation reception for all members of the legislature.   Download Registration PDF


The MML Youth Leadership Summit
March 5-6, 2010 at Jackson State University

The Mississippi Municipal League Statewide Youth Leadership Summit is a two-day event sponsored by the Mississippi Municipal League. The purpose of the Summit is to bring city officials and youth together to share their experiences of their programs and the impact made on the community. In addition, it establishes a forum where youth can interact and discuss issues and concerns that are important to them. As a result, the Summit has been organized to promote a fun environment for youth and city officials to learn and network with each other. Adults and students alike will walk away from the summit with knowledge of forming their own board program or expanding their current program to new horizons.
