This employee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all aspects of municipal financial management and administration.
Serves as chief financial advisor to Mayor and Board of Aldermen
Plans, organizes, and directs all operations of administrative department
Implements and formulates municipal finance policies
Serves as chief budget officer and enforces budget limitations
Manages debt services and transactions, bonds, grants and disbursing city funds
Supervises and conducts regular and special elections
Oversees all aspects of city owned property and inventory and manages fixed asset system
Supervises Deputy City Clerks/City Hall employees
Oversees operation of City Hall functions and assists with coordinating all special events
Attends all Board meetings and records all actions of the City Board
Properly records all actions of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen
Prepares financial statements for board, audits financial statements monthly and prepares budget amendments as needed
Prepares yearly budget with Mayor and Board of Aldermen
Assures proper cash flow
Reviews Payroll
Reviews accounts payable for processing
Administers all grants
