MML promotes news, events, and conferences of interest to its members. In addition, the MML publishes a magazine, pamphlets, and technical briefs to assist its member cities and their officials in performing their duties. There also links to other publications of interest to municipal officials.

On February 2, 2022, Governor Tate Reeves signed the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act. Because the bill is substantial and detailed, Butler Snow has put together a summary that can be found here.
The bill does include an option for municipalities to opt-out of the Act. The governing authority must vote to do so within 90-days after the effective date of the new law (February 2, 2022). Click here for a template of suggested language to use for opting-out.
