Dear Supervisors, Mayors, Public Works Directors, & Mosquito Control Personnel,

Once again it’s time for our annual meeting of the Mississippi Mosquito and Vector Control Association (MMVCA).  Our 2017 meeting will be held on March 15h and 16th at the Pearl Community Center located at 2420 Old Brandon Road in Pearl, MS.  Registration for the event will be held on Wednesday, March 15th from 10:00 a.m.-1 p.m..

For those interested in taking the Category VIII Public Health certification exam, it will be offered at the end of the meeting March 17th at noon.  It is recommended that you order study materials from the following link on the MSU Extension Website:

https://techoutreach.msucares.com/commercial-pesticide-applicator-training-study-materials-order-form

The two guides cost $60 total and may be purchased online with a credit card, by check, or by money order. We further suggest that you order study materials by no later than February 17th to ensure time for delivery and thus adequate review before taking the certification exam. There will be no study guides available at the meeting.

There are many hotels to choose from in the area to fit all budget types. Most of the hotels are located on either Riverwind Drive or Pearson Road in Pearl. Dinner will be provided the evening of March 15th.  All other meals will be on your own.  If you plan to attend, please pre-register by March 1st so we can get an idea of how many dinners to order.

We are now online! For more information on our annual meeting and other events, you can visit our new website at: https://msmvca.wixsite.com/msmvca
