Welcome to basic animal control concepts and investigations.  During this 8-hour course we will cover the following topics as well as have hands on exercises.  If you are new or a seasoned investigator, animal control officer, or wanting to learn more about investigations and animal handling this course will sharpen your skills.

  • Canine Behavior and Handling
  • Feline Behavior and Handling
  • Animal Capture Tools and Concepts
  • Investigating Animal Complaints
  • Basic Concepts of Report Writing

Equipment necessary for class

  • Appropriate footwear – closed toed boots
  • Long pants
  • Leather Gloves
  • Clothing appropriate for outdoor conditions
